“Imagining a New Reality”: QEPCCC, March 22 – April 13, 2014

Imagining A New Reality

“The imagination is a powerful tool. An artist can use it to show others the world as he sees it and to bring others into his dream of what the world could be.”
  -- David R Becker

Working in abstract requires the artist to view a scene or object as other see it and then translate it into pure colour and line – capturing the emotion and energy of the original but adding their own personal touch. This ‘imagining’ is a critical part of creating and enables the viewer to see the object from a different point-of-view. The ColourShift Abstract Art Collective is a group
of artists committed to interpreting the work around them and imagining it in new and different ways. The mediums used – paint, photography, mixed media, enhances that communication and clarifies the vision of the imagined piece.
